Danny Conant is a Washington,D.C. area fine art photographer whose work has appeared in many national publications and exhibitions. Retiring from teaching so she could fully immerse herself in photography, Conant studied photography, printmaking and painting. Her studies have allowed her to work with master photographers such as Ralph Gibson, Joyce Tennesson, and Greg Gorman. The transition from traditional photography to her current artistic process results in mixed media works that are both visually and physically dimensional.
Her most recent book, "Vanishing Tibet", is an extensive collection of beautiful and diverse artworks, on paper, fresco, wood and fabric. Multiple trips to China and Tibet have allowed her to delve further into the spirit and culture of the region. Her most recent exhibition "Looking Back: Moving Forward" combined photography, collage and encaustic.
