My images are an attempt to see below the surface of a person or to use the landscape as a reflection of my concerns. I often discover my focus through seeing what I have photographed and how I have used the light. Mixing the street portraits and my use of the plastic lens in the landscape gives me an emotional focus. I look for the ordinary moments and the beauty of the unremarkable. I try to be intuitive in my practice of photography – staying in the moment of shooting leaving intention as removed from the equation as possible.
